The ever-girly Lady LovelyLocks animated series first aired in 1987, supporting the release of Mattel's toyline by the same name. Lady LovelyLocks is the princess of the Kingdom of Lovelylocks, while she and her friends are aided by the Pixietails in keeping the kingdom safe from its enemies. The series was produced by Toei Animation for DIC Studios and although uncredited, was brought to life by many long-time Toei animation artists. My favorite aspect of the series is the female heroine, which I find lacking in today's animation.
