Here, the unicorn recalls the Butterfly's story about the Red Bull and she is overcome with a sense of duty to rescue her kin. Beagle's unicorn is not a responsible being by nature. Unicorns seldom, if ever, leave their forests and spend much of their lives alone. When she decides to leave her forest with no guarantee of return, it is a very powerful decision.
The copy background is from the introduction, just as night falls upon the forest. It appears with nothing but an overlay cel of flowering bushes. Izobel has the matching genga drawing here in her collection.
